An Invitation to Dance Professionals
The Quinte Ballet School of Canada is pleased to announce new Artist Residencies being offered in its spacious and fully-equipped facilities in support of professional dance artists.
The goal in providing residencies is to support Canadian dance artists in the research and creation of new work. As well, residencies provide educational opportunities for QBSC students.
In the case of an educative collaboration, QBSC will provide studio space and transportation to the artists. In return, the artist in residence will work with QBSC students by showing their work, conducting workshops, holding discussion sessions and, if applicable, teach classes.
QBSC is committed to facilitating exchanges between choreographers and dancers by creating an invitation into the culture of QBSC, as well as opening QBSC to the larger dance community.

To apply for a residency, candidates must Contact Us with a letter of motivation, along with a description of the project, a short biography, video excerpts of the project and/or previous works (VHS, DVD or Web link), and a proposed period of time for the residency. The actual length of the residency will be arranged between the applicant and QBSC's Artistic Director.
